My Shark duo clean upright vacuum is no longer working properly (power head not working - hose still works). It was purchased in November 2018 and is still under the 7 year warranty.

I was just informed that Shark would replace and send me a new unit however it would take 2-3 weeks. In order for the new unit to be sent to me, I would have to prove that I cut the power cord on the unit to make it unusable.

I am a mom with two young children who absolutely needs some type of device to clean.

The fact that I am forced to cut the cord of the vacuum when I could still use the hose to pick up minor messes is beyond me. I understand this procedure if I am guaranteed to get the new device with 2-3 business days but not 2-3 weeks!!!!

Your warranty seems great on paper but the logistics around it are not client friendly, dont cater to any household and come from a place of distrust.

I have no problem sending a picture of the cut power cord after I receive the new unit but not before.

What a waste.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
