Shark is Junk
Purchased an NV400 "Professional" in July, 2015 for normal home use. One dog. Small house. No kids.
Problem 1: Vacuum hose won't seat. Shark replaces it. Still, to this day, does not seat. Only one of two tabs will hold it in.
Problem 2: Wheels sqealed like an ally cat in heat, requiring disassemble and lubricate to keep quiet.
Problem 3: Vacuum began to fall over. Would not stay upright. Disassemble again to find the cheap plastic gromet at the bottom of the body popped out. Re-insert, reassemble.
Problem 4: No power to the brush head. Research to find microswitch failure is a common problem. Replace. Still no power to the brush head.
Contacted Shark for warranty repair. Shark offers me a replacement power nozzle assembly...for $96, plus, of course, tax and shipping. They wouldn't even pay shipping!
I only paid $230 for the entire machine.
I have a 2005 Dyson DC17 that lasted 10 years before the brush motor failed. I found another and installed it. Now my Dyson runs like new and will give me years more service.
The didnt even last 3.
If you're considering a Shark, dont.
Choose another or invest more in an infinitely better quality machine like a Dyson.
Shark is poorly made, overpriced junk.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Shark Cons: Customer service, How my vacuem stopped working, Hose, Fact that i was sold a defective product twice, Voided warranty because i checked the belt.
