Ordered 07/21/2015 and received confirmation email for a NV750W Shark Rotator Liftaway upright vacuum for $249.75 + $0.00 s/h, upgrade attachments $89.90 + $14.95 s/h, exclusive one time offer of additional vac for 20% off which was $199.80 +$19.95 s/h. Total including $40.20 sales tax was $614.55. After 10 days, clicked on "where's my order", and order was not found. Called customer "service" giving both my account number and order number to Rachel. She told me order was cancelled. I asked who cancelled it, and after a couple minutes on hold, she told me there was a credit card issue. She then suggested that I go to a retail store and purchase. She did not try to verify credit card or even ask if I wanted to use another card (by the way, I pay my card balances every month though a checking account auto-draft; there was not a funds issue with the card). The reason I ordered online was to get the free lifetime warranty, extras and the additional vac for 20% off, which is NOT available in a retail store.
I was amazed Shark did not want my $614.55, so I took Rachel's advice and went to target. I bought a Hoover Wind Tunnel upright vac similar to Dyson and Shark for $109.00 !! I figure I can buy 5 Hoovers for the price that Shark wanted, or didn't want. I'll never consider Shark in the future. If their customer service is this poor, I'm not sure what the rest of the company is like. So for now, I have almost $500.00 ($497.90) in MY pocket, not in Sharks!!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Feedback only. I do not want anything from Shark, only voicing my displeasure wih my purchase attempt. I actually saved about $500 by going to Target and finding a Hoover WindTunnel for $109.00 + tax, no S/H !!.
Shark Cons: Customer un-service, Cancelling order without contacting me.
