After seeing a commercial for the Shark Rotator and hearing friends rave about their Sharks, I purchased the Rotator Professional Lift- Away series 502 from Bed, Bath, and Beyond only to find out that the canister does not lift away so that I could sweep under beds, etc. unless I purchased an additional attachment for $40. I was told that only the 600 series could sweep under things as shown in the commercial( not the infomercial) and that if I had purchased the vacuum from the company, I would have received extra attachments(of course for more money) that the retail stores do not carry. Now how was I supposed to know that the canister didn't lift-away like shown on TV? Nothing on the box warned me that the canister cannot be removed. The box does show a person sweeping under a bed, but if I wanted to do this, I would have to remove the entire canister from the premium power head, place it on the caddy, and attach the smaller less powerful head onto the wand. That is a lot of work just to sweep under the bed! Also I bought this model because I have cats and the small head does not pick up the cat hair like the premium head does. So research carefully before you buy!
